The municipality is located to 68 km of the capital, Jaén, in southwestern direction, with a total surface of 106 km2. Strategically located in center of Andalusia. To one hour of car of the capitals of Cordova, Granada and Jaén. Its municipal term limits with those of Martos, Alcala the Real one, Valdepeñas de Jaén and Alcaudete.
